KIOW arrived on the air in 1978, built outside of Forest City near Pilot Knob State Park--one of the highest elevations in Iowa. KIOW's radio signal goes north to Hope, MN and south to Boondocks, Iowa - running up and down I-35 with 25,000 watts of power, digital stereo sound, 24 hours a day. Mix 107.3FM plays a unique mix of music. Local research as well as National music research and services, keep KIOW in step with the music tastes of Northern Iowa & Southern Minnesota.
