Also, if you do it yourself, you will also need to hire a traditional bank trustee and that will cost you, based on national survey data, anywhere from $2,500 to over $10,000 each year. Finally, doing it yourself will mean that you will need to review and monitor your trust every few years to make sure it is in compliance with new laws and regulations.
