Dan is the founder of Kobaly Mayes and is the acting patriarch of the organization. A Veteran of the Armed Forces, he spent 10 years flying F-4 Phantom fighter jets for the Air Force and the California Air National Guard and worked for 3 years at the China Lake Naval Weapons Center on the original Navstar GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) system. Dan has been a college professor in Computer Science and worked for 14 years in corporate and municipal accounting at the City of Palm Springs and Eisenhower Medical Center. Dan Kobaly has been in the tax business since 1990, and has been specializing in travel nurse tax preparation since 1995. As an expert of tax issues as they pertain to healthcare travelers, Dan has written countless tax articles for HealthCare Traveler magazine and Locum Life magazine. He holds a Bachelors degree in Math with Computer Science from the University of California at Riverside, and has done extensive postgraduate work at the University of Southern California. Dan is an Enrolled Agent and licensed to practice before the Internal Revenue Service.
