Kroff Chemical Company, Inc. got its start on April 22, 1988 when Keith D. Kronk and Frederick D. Potthoff decided to form a new water treatment company. The partners had seen deterioration in the quality of service and level of experience in their industry. Several of the nationally known companies were hiring people directly out of college with no experience, and providing "on the job training" at the risk of critical customer systems.
