General Information The Kung Fu Academy was founded in 1993 and is located in North Park at 3388 30th Street, on the corner of 30th and Upas. Instructors The founder and owner of The Kung Fu Academy, Rich Robson, has studied various styles of martial arts for over 25 years. He is a second generation student of Jimmy Woo, Grandmaster of Kung Fu San Soo and a first generation student of Doo Wai, Grandmaster of Bak Fu Pai. He has obtained the rank of Master and is a member of The World Martial Arts Hall of Fame.Bernie Swanick is the chief instructor for children. Bernie has studied many styles of both kung fu and karate for over 20 years. He holds several black belts. He was awarded third degree black belt in 18 Lo Hon Palms by Rich Robson in May of 2002. Bernie has worked extensively with children throughout the years and has developed a unique style of teaching which has earned him the respect of his peers.
