Kwal Paint was founded in 1947 when it purchased the equipment and technology of Beacon Paint Company. The name "Kwal Paint" was derived from the word "Quality" to show dedication for making quality products that stand the test of time. Over the years Kwal Paint merged with other smaller regional paint companies, Howells Paint and Ren's Paint of Salt Lake City, UT, Hanley Paint of El Paso, TX, Stellar Paint of Dallas,TX, Sophir Morris Paint of Omaha, NE and Kansas City, KS, as well as the architectural division of the Jones Blair Paint Company of Dallas, TX, to become the Rocky Mountain West's largest regional paint manufacturer. The company’s home office and main manufacturing facility are located at 3900 Joliet Street, just east of Denver’s old Stapleton Airport.Kwal Paint manufactures architectural and maintenance finishes, in addition to distributing high performance coatings, sundries, spray equipment and commercial wallcovering from leading national manufacturers. The plant has always incorporated the most modern equipment and technology and has the capacity to produce over 15 million gallons of paint per year. We are the fastest growing regional paint manufacturer in the United States. The company has gained the highest respect in the industry for developing the most technologically advanced exterior products that meet the weather challenges of the Rocky Mountain, Midwest and Southwest Regions.Kwal Paint, with more than half a century of paint formulation experience, has 2 manufacturing plants in Denver, Colorado and El Paso, Texas.
