Kyes Insurance, bringing auto/homeowners, business, life and health insurance to western Maine since 1925. Falls and Rumford , Maine . We strive toward keeping good customer relationships and personal satisfaction allowing us to become one of the top ten insurance agencies in Maine . History of Kyes Insurance Howard E. Kyes started his agency in 1925 in Wilton , Maine . Mr. Kyes continued as sole owner until 1968 when Carlton Scott and Richard Bjorn joined him in partnership. The agency grew and expanded with offices in Farmington and Rumford. In 1980, Richard took over ownership on the retirement of Carlton . In 1989, Kyes merged with the Philbrick Agency in Skowhegan, allowing for another office in this town. In 1992, Kyes-Philbrick merged with Finley-Mullen of Skowhegan, again expanding the business. In 1996, Kyes Insurance purchased the Currier Agency of Farmington, which also owned Dubord's Insurance of Livermore Falls.
