The company was formed in 1947 as a privately owned firm. In 1953, Lowry and Sorensen Engineers was organized as a partnership, with the firm operating as a corporation since 1961. A California Corporation was founded in San Diego in 1977 and both companies underwent a name change in 2000. LSW has performed engineering services for more than 15,000 projects, and offers the full complement of mechanical, plumbing and electrical consulting services.
