Our Hodgenville office is located at 54 Lincoln Square in historic LaRue County, about 2 miles north of Abraham Lincoln's birthplace and 65 miles north of the National Corvette Museum. Our Bardstown office is located at 1297 Springfiield Road in Bardstown, Kentucky. Bardstown is the site of the beautiful southern mansion that inspired Stephen Foster's famous song, My Old Kentucky Home. About LaRue Insurance LaRue Insurance has been serving customers in central Kentucky since the 1930's. In 1958, Jim LaRue became the sole owner, offering customers general insurance including farm, home, auto and life insurance. During the early 60's, a one-half interest in the firm was sold to C. C. Omer, Jr. and the name changed to LaRue-Omer Insurance. A decade later, another partner, Richard T. Burks, bought in and led the firm that became LaRue-Omer-Burks Insurance. When Mr. Burks died unexpectedly in 1979, Jim LaRue bought out the two partners and again became the sole owner. Mr. LaRue sold the agency to his son, Alex, in 1997. Alex LaRue specializes in contractor's insurance and insurance for antique, classic and nostalgic cars. In 2000, Aaron LaRue joined the firm, the 3rd generation to do so. His specialty is representing diverse customers in the agricultural and construction industries. In 2000, LaRue Insurance, Incorporated was awarded the Dairy Farmers of America endorsement for Agway Insurance products. It is the only agency in the LaRue, Hardin and Nelson County area to have achieved this recognition. Our Hodgenville office is located at 54 Lincoln Square, a building listed on the National Register of Historic Places, in the heart of Hodgenville's historic Lincoln Square District.
