This procedure uses a small amount of radiation on a selected part of the body to generate an image. X-Ray, or Plain Radiography, is commonly used to generate images of the chest, muscular or skeletal system, and in some instances, your gastro/intestinal system. This procedure is the oldest, perhaps most well-known in all of radiology and is still the most commonly performed. However, new state-of-the-art digital technology has done away with the need for chemical processors and cumbersome X-ray film.
