At Lakeside Eye Clinic serving all of Chicago, we provide LASIK laser vision correction and other procedures to provide improved vision and freedom from glasses and contact lenses.

The custom LASIK procedure is similar to that of traditional LASIK, except that instead of just correcting for your degree of nearsightedness, farsightedness or astigmatism, it corrects other unique vision imperfections as well. Before the procedure, Dr. Rao will use state-of-the-art eye-mapping software to create a digital three-dimensional map of your eye. This map measures how your eye focuses light, and this detailed information is programmed into the laser before treatment. This allows the laser to correct your unique vision imperfections, including high-order aberrations, which cannot be corrected through traditional LASIK. And, since the measurements are put into a software program, custom LASIK eliminates the risk of human error and reduces side effects such as glare and halos. With custom LASIK at our Chicago practice serving those from Chicago and surrounding areas, patients are often able to achieve 20/20 vision or better.
