Description
The History Behind Lane Concepts Lane Concepts was founded in 1995 and developed the Worlds 1st "High Linage Lane Oil." The name was simple: "C1" The product was finalized and brought to market early in 1996. To help promote C1's breakthrough technology, Sam Baca and Lenny Nicholson were brought into the company. Both were known worldwide for their knowledge of lane maintenance and their long history in the sport of bowling. C1 became an instant hit, much like it still is today. C1's promise to prevent breakdown and carrydown, even with the Resin coverstocks, held true. Despite the many advancements since 1996, the PBA Tour's biggest 3-game block (850) and 4-game block (1129) on TV is still owned by Lane Concepts and C1 (courteously of Bob Learn) back in 1996. The five TV bowlers averaged an incredible 276.50 for their 8 games. Mr. Lane filled the role as company President for 11 years until 2007.. Marty has over 40 years in the services industry and is widely recognized in the bowling community as one the most knowledge individuals in the game. He was the youngest member, when inducted at the age of 38, into the Stockton California Bowlers Hall of Fame, and has been involved in many aspects of the bowling arena his entire life. His knowledge of lane conditions, bowling equipment, and what is necessary to achieve success in the sport are well documented. In 1998 a new oil product, "C2" was rolled out. C2 filled a need by being virtually clear and soon became Lane Concepts best selling product, and increased the brand loyalty from our customers.. In 1999, Lane Concepts broke into the Pro Shop market by releasing a new technology ball plugging material simply named, "Lane Concepts Ball Plug. The product was an immediate hit, as it solved virtually all issues that pro shop professionals were having when attempting to plug the new generation bowling equipment. Gone were the issues of Cracking, Chipping, Pin Holes, and Yellowing. Along with the plug, other accessory products were also released. Things remained calm until October 2002, when it was decided to relocate the business to the (99% sunny) High Desert of So. California. At that time Marty's younger brother Paul Lane, was recruited into the fold as the Executive VP of Lane Concepts. With many years of experience in various Executive Management position in Orange County CA, Paul was tasked with adding new products and bringing the Lane Concepts brand and its industry leading products to more people. 2003 was a big year in Lane Concepts. The release of eight new products: SYN-PRO ™ lane oil, EXTREME 12-1 lane cleaner, EXTREME CLEAN, Bowling Ball Cleaner, EXTREME DULL Bowling Ball Reconditioner, EXTREME SHINE Bowling Ball Polish, 1-HR Quick Plug, (Resin Based), 6-HR Ball Plug all have been a huge success. 2004 started off on a great note as Lane Concepts once again added one of the biggest names in the bowling business to our team, Dino Depasquale, to the position of Director of Sales.
