Research We continuously look for reknown Principal Investigators and institutions to support in research using the Neurolase™. Partnerships for SBIR/STTR grant request submittals to the NIH, DoD, VA, and NASA are being formed strategically to ensure respected experts participate. Private and foundation funded research projects are also being pursued. Properly structured, multi-centered, randomized, double-blinded clinical trials are the goal. We expect these trials to reaffirm anecdotal evidence of the efficacy of Laser Neurotherapy™ treatment for many diseases and afflictions. Support for Researchers Laser Neurotherapy™ funds ongoing research on animals and humans that we expect to lead to an expanded list of afflictions that can be effectively treated using Neurolase™ devices. We have established relationships with leading university and government research laboratories and are providing them with laser systems to conduct their research on afflictions not normally associated with treatment by laser. A variety of wavelengths are available for comparative studies, and a double-blind switch is provided for blinded research. We provide engineering support to customize systems tailored to each individual researcher’s needs. Overnight delivery of a replacement is provided for any failed product to ensure research continues uninterrupted. Non-Significant Risk Devices The Neurolase™ are cleared by the United States Food and Drug Administration for marketing primarily for pain management. They are also considered non-significant risk devices by the FDA per 21 CFR 812.2(b)(2). Each is tested to perform within the constraints of a class 3B laser system per IEC 60825-1 and ANSI Z136.1. These facts are significant when patient risks are being assessed by Institutional Review Boards. Topics for Research Principal Investigators for multi-centered, randomized, double blind clinical trials are being solicited.
