Jon joined the Lauterbach Financial Group in 1977 and served as a General Services Partner of Lauterbach, Borschow & Co., Certified Public Accountants until the founding of LFA in 1999. During his tenure, he worked primarily with closely-held businesses and has experience in auditing, tax and business consulting in a variety of industries including not-for-profit entities. Jon graduated with a BA degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a BBA degree from UT Pan American.

David joined the Lauterbach Financial Group in 1964 and served as a General Services Partner of Lauterbach, Borschow & Co., Certified Public Accountants until the founding of LFA in 1999. During his tenure as a General Services Partner, David worked primarily with closely-held businesses and has experience in auditing, accounting, tax and business consulting with an emphasis in business valuation and litigation support. David has been in El Paso since 1949 and graduated from Texas Western College (now UTEP) with a BBA in 1961.

We provide investment management, with our fees based on a percentage of the assets that we manage - without commissions or any "fine print" incentives based on the products that our clients purchase. As a result, we are free to be completely impartial in our counsel regarding financial assets. Because we are not beholden to any investment product or provider, we are uniquely qualified to offer truly objective insight and financial advice.

While we agree that watching investments grow is a satisfying experience, we also understand that there is more to managing wealth than account performance. Equally important are understanding what’s important to you and building a plan to help you meet your unique goals. These are all integral parts of our ongoing relationship. Creating a plan and having the discipline to stick with it is a central part of our philosophy. Because of the uncertainties of life, we also feel it is important to recognize when changes need to be made to the plan.
