LEADER INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION , formed in 1981 (as Leander Research, Manufacturing & Distributing, Inc.) and purchased by the current owners in January 1992, develops, manufactures and distributes commercial and institutional indoor & outdoor site furniture and decorative accessories (such as trench and tree grates, tree guards, etc.) health care products and retail fixtures and displays. The Company is known worldwide for its high quality, cost effective and highly efficient products. The Company has two subsidiary companies, manufacturing and product finance. The Company develops products to meet the demands in three separate and distinct "niche" markets. From major trends in the health care market, especially those having to do with back pain and spine related disorders, which effect 80% of the population worldwide, to architectural and construction demand for commercial & institutional site furnishings to retail store demand for fixtures and displays, Leader provides quality products to these markets.Leander Health Technologies, the health care division, manufactures a series of treatment tables for chiropractors. In chiropractic, LEANDER® is considered a leader worldwide for its patented "motorized" adjusting tables and trochanteric pelvic support belts (Spine-Power®). Its leading and most well known products include chiropractic motorized and manual adjusting and exam tables, trochanteric pelvic support belts and headrest paper; vinyl & leather cleaner; and other ancillary products.Leader purchased FairWeather Site Furnishings, the commercial and institutional site furniture division, in August of 1999. This division has seen explosive growth throughout its more than 25-year history. Since Leader purchased FairWeather its sales have nearly quadrupled. The FairWeather division produces commercial and institutional grade benches, trash receptacles, ash urns, planters, picnic tables and bollards. FairWeather also has an exclusive distribution contract with Olympic Foundry, Inc. to distribute their tree and trench grates, tree guards, manhole covers and other decorative castings.
