Today, we provide a wide range of services including airplane and helicopter flight training , avionics installation and servicing, new/used helicopter sales , aircraft maintenance , charters and commercial helicopter operations.

Our clients range from government agencies to individuals, both domestic and international. With over fifteen years of experience, we’ve worked with all the major airplane and helicopter manufacturers.

2005 brought many changes, including new ownership, a new management team, and new horizons. For instance, expanding on our core business, we’ve invested in a state-of-the-art UV laser wire marking machine. This equipment brings a Boeing-standards level of quality to our avionics installation work— required for wiring harnesses from major manufacturers such as Columbia Helicopters, Bell Helicopter and Lockheed Martin.

Leading Edge Aviation is located on Bend Municipal Airport in beautiful Bend, Oregon. Beginning Fall of 2014, LEA will provide helicopter training at Salt Lake International Airport, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Here at LEA we specialize in training professional pilots as well as the private owner. Helicopter students train in Robinson R22, Robinson R44 and Bell 206 series aircraft. Airplane students train in Cessna 172 and Beechraft Baron aircraft.

The Bend/Redmond area is home to two manufacturers of high-end, aircraft: Cessna (a Textron company with sales exceeding $8 billion) and Epic Aircraft .
