Lear Engineering is dedicated to delivering the most technologically advanced fault detection equipment to the magnet wire industry. We strive to develop new ways of detecting HVC and bead faults while keeping to our promise of producing high quality equipment. It is our belief that our experience with the magnet wire industry united with our knowledge of the most up-to-date technology provides our customers with products and services that exceed the highest standards.

Lear Engineering was founded in 1982 by Dennis Swing, an electrical engineer, for the purpose of developing a portable, light weight, battery powered, device to discern the diameter of magnet wire lines. General Electric was our first customer and helped define the general operating characteristics and specifications for the first "Lear Gun". The project was extremely successful and magnet wire plants all over the globe used the gun as an alternative to expensive fixed place gauges.

Here at Lear Engineering we know that making a decision on fault detection equipment can be cumbersome without experiencing firsthand how it can benefit your company.
