Dr. Arone founded The Ledges, a residential facility for the developmentally disabled, in 1960. With 40 years of experience in counseling and teaching developmentally disabled individuals, Dr. Arone has devoted his career to this field of expertise.During the 1960's, Dr. Arone lectured at both Harvard and Boston University graduate schools. For 20 consecutive years, beginning in 1975, he served as president and chairman of the board of the Community Counseling Center of Blackstone Valley. From 1980 to 1996, Dr. Arone also served as a corporator of Milford-Whitinsville Regional Hospital.Dr. Arone acquired a doctorate in psychology and a master's degree in counseling and special education from Boston University. He earned a bachelor's degree in English and social studies from Boston College.
