Our firm began in 1913 as an insurance defense firm, and we continue today to concentrate our practice on the defense of civil litigation. We pride ourselves on offering skilled representation at a reasonable price. Our firm engages in general civil and trial practice in state and federal courts throughout Washington and in administrative proceedings. The Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory has conferred the "AV" rating, its highest, on our firm and several of our lawyers.

Our attorneys have extensive experience in all types of litigation, including premises liability, construction liability, product liability, and liquor liability, defense of major defendants in toxic-tort claims, and fire and property-damage subrogation.

We have successfully defended numerous cases involving varied aspects of truck and heavy equipment operation. Our attorneys have defended vehicle collisions, worksite accidents, and mechanical failures. We are regularly involved in the technical aspects of accident reconstruction and failure analysis, and our attorneys have the expertise and experience to defend claims arising from this technical subject matter. Our attorneys have also represented designers and manufacturers, component manufacturers, distributors, and retailers of equipment in all phases of product liability litigation.

Ms. Rogers is of counsel with Lee Smart. Her practice focuses on representation of health care providers and medical institutions in medical and dental malpractice matters. She also has experience in medical product liability cases.
