Serving all 77 counties, this project assists with the legal problems of individuals with HIV or diagnosed with AIDS. This project is funded in part by the Oklahoma AIDS Care Fund. Legal services are provided for civil (not criminal) legal problems related to HIV or an AIDS diagnosis. Frequent legal issues which arise include bankruptcy, confidentiality, debt management, discrimination, estate planning, family law matters relating to HIV or an AIDS diagnosis, guardianships intiated by the client, insurance disputes, landlord/tenant disputes and Social Security appeals.
