Located in suburban Chicago, Leonard Auction is a premiere coin and currency auction company. We conduct regular sales in our state-of-the-art 8,000 square foot auction house. The Leonard Auction Advantage Full Color Catalogs: Every item in our auction receives a full color photograph to be included in our catalog that details each of the lots to be sold. Our catalogs are available in print and also online - opening the auction to buyers around the world. Advertising & Mailing Lists: We have a large database of buyers that receive email and mail notifications of upcoming auctions. Additionally, we regularly advertise in antique newspapers including Antique Week, Antique and the Arts Weekly, and Auction Action Antique News. Internet Enabled: Our sales are internet enabled through ProxiBid, allowing bidders from around the world bid live, in real time, as the auction occurs. Auction Previews: We hold multi-day previews for each one of our auctions. These days are open to the public and allow bidders to inspect items, ask questions of Leonard Auction staff, and setup absentee / phone bids if they are unable to attend the auction in person. Auction Consignment Process STEP 1: EVALUATION Leonard Auction will first provide you a complimentary evaluation of the property you wish to sell. This evaluation may be conducted at your location or at our auction house. During the evaluation we will discuss the appropriate venue and time to sell your property, as well as estimate the price that we feel your property would bring at auction. STEP 2: CONTRACT & DELIVERY After evaluating your property, Leonard Auction will contract with you to sell your items at auction. The contract details the terms of sale as well as the commission rate. We will also make arrangements to transport your items to our auction house. We provide a full line or transportation options if you are unable to transport your property. STEP 3: SALE & PAYMENT Leonard Auction will sell your items at the auction specified in the contract. Checks are mailed 10 business days after the auction, in accordance with the auction contract.
