New Liberty Hospital District located in Clay County, Missouri (operated as and referred to throughout this website as "Liberty Hospital") was created for the benefit of its community as a political subdivision district hospital under Chapter 206 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri. Liberty Hospital is a general acute care facility with 235 licensed beds. Its mission is to provide high quality, cost efficient, comprehensive health care to the residents in its service area. This goal is achieved by providing inpatient acute care and comprehensive outpatient services to the residents of Clay and Platte counties, and to the residents of north central and northwest Missouri. Liberty Hospital is located just 20 minutes north of the metropolitan Kansas City area.Liberty Hospital is an important component to its hometown. It has been a moving force in the community's growth for many years. More than 1,400 employees make the hospital a vital employment source. More than 350 physicians, covering all medical specialties, enjoy medical privileges at Liberty Hospital. Liberty Hospital is also one of five, Level II Trauma Centers in the greater Kansas City area.Since its inception in the mid-seventies, Liberty Hospital has emerged as a major health care provider in the metropolitan Kansas City area and to the residents of Clay county, Platte county, and northwest Missouri.
