One of the top resident employers in Lincoln Parish, Lincoln General has over 600 employees. Its active medical staff is made up of 64 physicians, with 20 specialties represented. Areas of specialty includes Anesthesiology, Cardiology, Dermatology, Family Practice, General Surgery, Hematology/Oncology, Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Neurology, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, Pathology, Pediatrics, Physiatry, Podiatry, Pulmonology, Radiology, and Urology. In addition, there are 48 courtesy staff, including 5 dentists. Over 100 women and men from the community volunteer their time in the Lincoln General Hospital Auxiliary, serving in three areas of the hospital.The ownership of Lincoln General is both local and regional, with 60% owned locally and 40% owned by three other North Louisiana not-for-profit hospitals. Lincoln General's partners are Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe, LA, St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, LA, and Willis-Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport, LA.For over two decades, Lincoln General Hospital has been known as “North Central Louisiana’s Regional Medical Center.” It is a hospital that was founded by a commitment of the people in the community who wanted an acute care hospital to serve the needs of ALL the people.
