Linfield, Hunter & Junius, Inc. (LH&J) has a long tradition of providing private, municipal, state and federal clients with a diverse range of Engineering, Land Surveying and Architectural services. The tradition began in 1957 with the establishment of R.P. Linfield, Civil Engineer. Subsequently, Linfield & Hunter, Inc. was incorporated in 1969 and Linfield, Hunter & Gibbons in 1975. Linfield, Hunter & Junius, Inc. was incorporated in 1982. We are a mid-sized consulting firm with the unique ability to perform engineering, land surveying and architecture with our in-house full time personnel. This arrangement provides quality services in a seamless, timely and efficient manner.

Our staff of Professional Engineers are talented and experienced in preparing designs for all types of Transportation, Land Development, Maritime, Water Resources, Flood Protection and Structural projects. The versatility of our capabilities allows us to develop innovative engineering solutions that are fully integrated throughout all aspects of the projects we perform.

Sergio J. Girau, P.E. is a Vice-President of LH&J and has been with the company since 1989. He earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from LSU in 1984 and has been practicing engineering for more than 28 years. Sergio has extensive experience in roadways, bridges, seaports, site works and complex utility relocations for both commercial and municipal projects. Besides engineering and project management duties, Mr. Girau is also responsible for administrative and executive functions including recruiting, human resources and production control.

LH&J maintains comprehensive property ownership information throughout the Parishes in Louisiana and our three Professional Land Surveyors have extensive experience in applying Louisiana's unique property ownership laws and survey regulations to determine and locate the limits of property ownership for numerous residential, commercial, industrial and municipal properties.

Ralph W. Junius, Jr., P.E. has over 40 years of engineering experience and has served as the firm's President since 1993. His education includes a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Tulane University, an M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois and a J.D. in Law from Louisiana State University. Ralph has professional experience with a wide range of project types. He has served many times as an engineering expert in appropriate cases. He lectures on engineering ethics and various technical aspects of civil engineering.
