LGWM’s Securities Practice Group handles all types of securities litigation and regulatory disputes. LGWM attorneys have extensive experience in litigating securities matters in state and federal court and in arbitrations before FINRA and AAA. We represent large broker dealers, independent broker dealers, investment advisors and registered representatives throughout the Southeastern United States.

LGWM has a significant medical and health care practice, serving as counsel for hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, physicians, dentists, nurses, therapists, and other health care providers. We counsel clients on litigation preventions and, when required, defend malpractice claims. For years, LGWM has represented physicians from a variety of specialties. We have represented dentists, therapists and major hospitals in malpractice cases. LGWM also has extensive experience in defending medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers in individual lawsuits and class actions.

The LGWM Professional Liability Practice Group has experience in handling a wide variety of consumer finance litigation matters. We have defended credit card companies, debt collection agencies, debt buyers, collectors, credit report bureaus, mortgage companies and brokers, as well as title and finance companies. Our clients range from local companies dealing with consumers in Alabama and Mississippi, to national companies who do business in all 50 states.

Aaron is a member of LGWM’s Workers’ Compensation and General Liability Practice Groups. Aaron has experience defending workers’ compensation disputes, including claims under the Alabama Workers’ Compensation Act, ancillary outrage and retaliatory discharge claims and claims under the Federal Black Lung Act. The remainder of Aaron’s practice is spent defending various general liability matters.

We represent insurers and agents and brokers in various capacities. Our team routinely is called upon to render coverage opinions, prosecute declaratory judgment actions, defend bad faith claims, and assist carriers in preserving coverage issues by intervening in liability litigation. Because of our extensive agent and broker practice, we also are routinely engaged to assist agents and brokers in resolving coverage issues between their clients and carriers in order to prevent potential litigation involving coverage issues and professional liability claims.
