Jose Escuder is also a member of the board of directors of Technology Masters Corporation, a telecommunications consulting group serving carriers and enterprises in South Florida. Mr. Escuder was responsible for developing Voice-over-IP network architecture and services for DayStar Communications of Port Charlotte, Florida. He led the design, implementation and commissioning of IP, ATM, DSL and fixed-wireless radio components of a carrier-grade network including a robust Operations Support System used to deliver converged voice and data services to the business community. Previous to DayStar, Mr. Escuder was senior manager of business development for Nortel Networks, providing technical consulting to large carrier customers, such as Bell Canada, BellSouth and Qwest in large green-field and international network expansion projects. With over three decades of experience in telecommunications, real-time networks and software, Mr. Escuder has held technology development positions with leading companies such as ECI Telecom, Intel Corporation, and the Process Management Systems Division of Honeywell, Inc. Since 1997 he was the Service Manager for MicroAge (Miami branch), being involved with the design, marketing, and implementation of professional services for strategic customers such as Knight Ridder, Amadeus, Burger King, VISA International, and Carnival Cruise Lines among others, and working together with IBM Global Services in developing TCO programs. In 1999 joined MasTec to develop the area of Network Integration and Professional Services. At his position as Vice President, he was responsible for the marketing, promotion, design, and delivery of high-end services, managing also the Network Engineering Group and the Network Operations Center.
