Training, Education, Memberships, and Background Long before Dr. Loftus became a plastic surgeon, she undertook years of rigorous education, which began at the University of Wisconsin in 1981. Her training led her to the University of California-Davis and to the University of Cincinnati, which is widely considered to be one of the most prestigious training programs for plastic surgeons in the country. But, before considering her 14 years of college, medical school, and residency complete, Dr. Loftus pursued a cosmetic surgery fellowship in Miami, Florida in 1995.
