All of this point to the important logistics link in the supply chain that includes inbound and outbound transportation, warehousing, and order fulfillment. Business processes controlling logistics are becoming more complicated and tightly integrated making it extremely difficult to rise above the day-to-day details of operations to really understand the interaction of all the links. Many times a change that is logical and rational for the part is completely at odds with the whole.
