Long Beach Casting Club Mission The Long Beach Casting Club, established in 1925, is a non-profit organization whose objectives are to educate the public about scientific angling; promote interest and efficiency in tournament or contest fly and plug casting; to promote fisheries conservation; and to promote social relations among its members.The club holds meetings in their historic club house located in Long Beach California's Recreation Park on the corner of 7th Street and Federation Drive (Across from the golf course and next to the dog park). Adjacent to the club house is a large casting pond that is used for casting. All club activities and trips are open to the public, no membership is required. In addition to a monthly meetings, there are a variety of trips and classes available throughout the year. The monthly meeting and program is a good way to meet and learn about fly fishing. Meetings are usually held on the last Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. Refreshments are served. See the main page or calendar for meeting topics.
