Description

The Alnico drivers are the classic Lowther design. Alnico magnets have a very stiff magnetic field, allowing a great deal of information to be transmitted through to the cone. They have a warmer sound, with more harmonic development than the other magnets. The PM2A has been in production (with various improvements) for over 50 years. Most consider it the ideal driver for use in a back loaded horn, such as the Medallion. Shown on the right is the PM4A. This is the most powerful magnet of any Lowther.
