Loxcreen Company was incorporated in Georgia in 1947. During 1948 and 1949, the company was inactive; however, with the invention of the tension window screen, the company resumed operations in Columbia, South Carolina and in 1953, a branch location opened in Dallas, Texas. In the early 1950s the company expanded with a line of roll formed metal trim products. In January 1955, the Columbia plant was burned to the ground. The company immediately secured a temporary location and within two weeks production resumed as a result of supplier cooperation and sincere hard work from every associate.

As a custom extruder, we serve many different industries. We work closely with our customers to provide the highest quality thermoplastic extrusions. Our primary focus is the door and window, store fixture, market, marine, commercial refrigeration, millwork and the golf cart industries.

The Distribution Group, with facilities in Texas, Ohio, Missouri, Illinois, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida, provides inventory management and Just in Time (JIT) services to a diversified customer base. The acquisition of Metal Distributors and Southwest Metalsource in 1997 provided the addition of stainless steel, aluminum and copper coil and sheet products to compliment the extruded products and in 2005 the combined distribution business was renamed Loxcreen Metalsource.

Our production capabilities, in-house fabrication and warehouse delivery programs offer advantages most of our competitors cannot. Using a single-source supplier for extrusion, finishing, painting and fabrication will reduce your costs and the risk of damage caused by excessive handling. OKLAHOMA CITY/COLUMBIA, S.C. – Oklahoma City-based M-D Building Products, Inc. has acquired the assets of West Columbia, South Carolina based Loxcreen Company, Inc., a privately held precision manufacturing company founded in 1946 on patents for fabricating window screens. The acquisition includes Loxcreen’s Canadian flooring group operated under the Bengard Manufacturing name in Mississauga, Ontario. The two companies did not disclose terms of the sale for competitive purposes.
