Dr. Mary Lund has been mediating for over 25 years, has done over 600 custody evaluations, and has been part of a collaborative divorce group for over 10 years, making her one of the most experienced psychologists specializing in divorce in Los Angeles. After receiving her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from UCLA, she conducted postdoctoral research on children and divorce at the University of Cambridge, England. She trains not only mental health professionals, but also attorneys and judicial officers about children’s needs in divorce and ways of resolving conflict.

We provide referrals to professionals we trust for specialized services. The professionals listed below are experienced in child and family therapy with specialized training in divorce issues. They are independent clinicians who are not part of our corporation.

All the professionals in our office have substantial experience helping children and adolescents of various ages in divorcing families. In addition to their experience in the courts, together they have experience with children in schools, at home and in community settings.

I have had over 25 years experience working with children, adults and their families on both the East and West Coasts. I was born and raised in New York City, and have had professional experience in New York, New Jersey, and California. My special expertise includes child development, populations who have special needs (such as learning disabilities, attention deficit disorders, developmental disabilities, and autism), and services for families who are engaged in high conflict divorce. In addition, I have consulted at several schools and day care centers in the Los Angeles area. And, I am one of the few psychologists in this area who run ongoing social skills groups for children ages 7-14 years, as well as an ongoing teen psychotherapy group.

Dr. Angus Strachan is a clinical psychologist with over 30 years of experience. He is known for his work mediating disputes with families and in the workplace. He has worked with hundreds of families facing the challenge of divorce as a mediator, custody evaluator, parenting plan coordinator, and family therapist. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at UCLA where he teaches family therapy with children and adolescents. He received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology at UCLA and conducted postdoctoral research on treatment approaches with major psychopathology both at the Institute of Psychiatry in London and the Neuropsychiatric Institute at UCLA.
