The purpose of Lutheran Outdoor Ministries Center (LOMC) is to be the Church in outdoor settings, nurturing Christian faith and providing experiences connecting the Word of God with the World of GodLOMC is a ministry of the Northern Illinois Synod, Central/Southern Illinois Synod, Metropolitan Chicago Synod and Central States Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).Throughout the year LOMC conducts many types programs for youth, adults, families, congregations as well as outdoor education events for schools. With its camp and retreat facilities, trained staff, and 650 acres of hills, prairies, pond and forests, new and annual visitors find the LOMC site a beautiful place to learn and grow with others in their faith.
