LYNN CAPOUYA, ASLA, LEED, ISA FOUNDING PRINCIPAL Lynn Capouya has been a practicing Landscape Architect for over 25 years. A graduate of the University of Arizona, she has a genuine love for the desert environment. She has functioned in all aspects of the business and practice of Landscape Architecture. Fortunate to have been assisted by many larger Prime consultants and corporate clients, Lynn learned the marketplace one project at a time. She has extensive experience in educational facilities, transportation and transit, water/mitigation and recreational projects, retail development and sustainable master planning. Focused on good practical design, Lynn works as a team member to ensure aesthetic goals, reduction of water use and effective life cycle costs. As the President of Lynn Capouya Incorporated, she is responsible for developing client relationships, strategic partnering and corporate management. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University with a specialization in Landscape Architecture. She has worked with Lynn Capouya, Incorporated (LCI) to expand our service platform and client base. Jane is responsible for directing operations within LCI to ensure consistent design services and delivery. She is well versed in a broad range of project types, including retail development, public plazas streetscapes and parkways, educational faculties and transportation centers. Jane also has extensive expertise in desert landscape and continues to expand her professional skills by achieving LEED certification and pursuing sustainability programs within the framework of Landscape Architecture. She is a member of WTS, SMPS (as a committee member) and the USGBC. Examples of some of her key projects at LCI include: Victor Valley Transportation Facility, The Village at Vintage Faire , Victorville Marketplace, Lindero Canyon Middle School, and Moorpark College Health Science Center. email jane : jane@lcapouya.com TIM MANN, RLA SENIOR ASSOCIATE As a Senior Associate at LCI, Tim Mann has a unique combination of business administration/accounting and design skills. A graduate of the UCI Co-operative extension program, Tim has over 18 years of experience in Landscape Architecture. His work ranges from private development thru the public sector. His background includes traditional design and design/build projects. His previous experience at Caltrans brings a unique view to LCI emphasizing technical focus, detail and quality control, balanced with good design aesthetics and constructability. His project delivery matches agency/client protocols. Tim is well versed in sustainable design, drought tolerant plant materials and effective water savings techniques for irrigation. His ability to communicate clearly and comprehensively both verbally and in writing is an asset to his presentations. Musick Detention Center Master Landscape Plan . email tim : tim@lcapouya.com GERALD OHTA, ASLA SENIOR DESIGN MANAGER A graduate of Cal Poly University, Gerry has over 35 years of experience and is registered in California. A true renaissance professional, Gerry’s versatility ranges through all aspects of landscape design and implementation. His ability to assess feasibility, program design and develop early project budgets allow him to work in the traditional design/bid/build model or in alternative methods such as bridging documents or design/build formats. He is equally qualified in developing the details necessary for construction documentation and site observation during construction. A lead designer at LCI during the past 15 years, Mr. Ohta has worked with a variety of clients, often on multiple projects. He is a collaborative team member, contributing to many site design and sustainability alternatives. Many of his projects are or will be LEED certified.
