I have been designing, developing, and delivering training and accompanying materials to a wide range of audiences through assorted mediums and venues for over 30 years. I have experience working with Local and State Agencies, Community Coalitions, Independent School Districts, Universities and Foundations.

All prevention specialist trainings are based upon the current knowledge and practice in the field from the new IC&RC Prevention Specialist Job Task Analysis which was used to develop a new examination to be administered for the first time on December 13, 2013. We have complete trainings available within the following six domains and their associated tasks and can customize any of these to meet your needs.

The SAPST was developed for individuals new to substance abuse prevention or early in their prevention career (1–5 years of experience). It is also appropriate for professionals in related fields who may have limited experience in prevention. While the focus is primarily on preventing alcohol, tobacco, and drug abuse, the approach to prevention presented in this training is applicable to other behavioral health issues as well.

Working with a team of my colleagues, we recently developed a professional training and 271 page manual covering all sixty associated tasks from the new International Prevention Specialist Job Task Analysis. We are currently training Prevention Specialist from around the nation to prepare them for the new Job Task Analysis which has been used to develop an international examination to be administered for the first time on December 13, 2013 by IC&RC (International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium) member boards.
