September 12, 1999: MB Research is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Edward Yurkow as Director of Research and study director for in vitro testing. Dr. Yurkow received his Ph.D. at Rutgers - UMDNJ and did post doctoral work at Massachusetts General Hospital (Harvard University). He has extensive experience in in vitro assays and flow cytometry. With the continuing increase in the number of in vitro studies requested, we plan to be prepared with well trained personnel to meet the needs of our sponsors.

Mar 2008 - MB Research receives full accreditation by Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International (AAALAC) . MB Research has been continuously accredited by AAALAC for over 33 years.

MB Research has been conducting product safety assessments for the cosmetics, personal care, chemical and pharmaceutical industries for over 40 years and is often sought out by Cosmetics Industry Leaders to ensure the safety their ingredients and aid in the rapid development of products.

For over 10 years we have been validating and conducting alternative tests beginning with the Chorioallantoic Membrane Vascular Assay, (CAMVA) followed by the Bovine Corneal Opacity and Permeability Test (BCOP) . MB expanded its in vitro capabilities by offering the Corrositex assay in 1996 as an alternative to dermal corrosivity tests.
