Med Associates Inc. is the leading manufacturer, software developer, and supplier of products for behavioral psychology, pharmacology, neuroscience, and related research and teaching areas. Established in 1971 as a small research and development company, Med Associates Inc. now employs over 90 people and manufactures over 400 products. Our locations include the main manufacturing and R&D facility located in Georgia (St. Albans) Vermont, the Med Associates Science Center in St. Albans Vermont, and representation by several dealers and distributors throughout the world.Med Associates Inc. is owned by the Karl R. Zurn family of Burlington, Vermont. The company was founded by Karl Zurn who serves as President and is involved in product development and electrical engineering design. Karl has Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University. Jane Torbert Zurn is Corporate Secretary/Treasurer, and has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Administration from Trinity College. J. Brooks Zurn has her Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a Biomedical Engineering option and a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. She is a Research Assistant in a PhD program in Electrical Engineering at the University of Vermont. Mary Zurn Herrera has her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Vermont. She is married to Gerald M. Herrera and they are the parents of Maria Paloma Herrera, Isabella Maria Herrera, and Juliana Marie Herrera.Gerry has a Doctor's degree in Physiology and Biophysics from the University of Vermont and is the Vice President of Research and Development at Med Associates Inc.
