MIICRO has developed advanced proprietary technology that uses PET imaging to assess the effects of pharmaceuticals on central nervous system (CNS) function. MIICRO's image data provides quantitative and qualitative information that helps customers make decisions about whether to continue development of a compound, which dose(s) may be most efficacious, what side effects may result, or which doses should be studied in later clinical trials. This information, especially when acquired early in the drug development process, can reduce the overall cost of developing a compound, in particular by helping make the decision for an early kill or by focusing later trials on the dose range most likely to be effective. MIICRO:designs and conducts PET imaging studies that enable a pharmaceutical customer to confirm the CNS effects of a compound, evaluate biodistribution and specificity, assess dose response, and compare the effects of different compoundshas a dedicated PET site near Chicago through its partnership with PETNet Pharmaceuticals (CTI Molecular Imaging) and has an international network of third-party PET sites
