Description

To implement the 211 call center, the Community Foundation chose Switchboard of Miami, a nonprofit organization with 40 years of experience in this field. Switchboard manages more than 40 trained operators, known as case managers, who answer calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year from citizens inquiring about resources. The case managers identify appropriate providers and connect callers to them. Last year, Switchboard's caring, multilingual, professional, and fully trained staff and volunteers responded to more than 180,000 calls from the Miami-Dade community.
