Description

When Ron Harper, founder of MPSI, first started doing business in 1970, he had $500 in Capital and no product to sell, only a concept that a computer model could be built to help petroleum marketers select the best sites for their outlets. This concept was quickly put to the test when a North American petroleum company asked Harper to evaluate potential gasoline sites in a specific market. The one-man MPSI operation met the challenge and developed the first statistical site evaluation model for the petroleum industry. The project was deemed a total success and MPSI started on a road of rapid growth.Today, MPSI is recognized as one of the foremost providers of marketplace data, modeling tools and analytical solutions to customers in over 30 different retail sectors around the world.
