The Middleberg Riddle Group is a partnership organized for the general practice of law. The partnership was founded in 1980, and the firm has been in continuous operation since that time. Our business purpose and goal is to provide exemplary legal services to our clients in accord with the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct. In Dallas, our practice is concentrated in the areas of mortgage banking, litigation involving real estate, and larger commercial litigation cases. In New Orleans and Baton Rouge, we focus our practice in two areas: business law and litigation.

Litigation services include the preparation and courtroom defense of major national and international corporations throughout the United States. The firm provides aggressive, creative and economical services to its litigation clients. The firm’s clients include numerous major chemical manufacturers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, multi-national construction and engineering corporations, medical product manufacturers and international insurers.

For over 20 years Richard has practiced and tried cases in state district courts and all federal courts in Louisiana. As appellate counsel he has briefed and argued cases in Louisiana's Courts of Appeal, the Louisiana Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, appearing in writ practice there on a regular basis for over ten years on behalf of the State of Louisiana and its officials.

Personal injury defense, product liability defense, industrial catastrophe litigation, general litigation involving mass class actions and mass disasters. Representative cases include the successful defense of the Space Shuttle for the manufacturer, representation of Union Carbide Corporation involving the 1982 explosion and evacuation of 17,000 residents of the River Parishes, and representation of a major manufacturer in the breast prosthesis litigation.

Ms. King has practiced law with this firm for fifteen years in the areas of residential real estate, mortgage lending and title insurance, and she has worked with numerous lenders on documentation for combined construction to permanent loan programs. Previously, she practiced for ten years as in-house counsel with a large thrift institution addressing both deposit and mortgage lending issues.
