M.J. Design ASSOCIATES, INC was founded in January 1998, by Joel and Molly John with the right hand assistance of Polly Smith and Dave Calvert. M.J. Design ASSOCIATES, INC is a Landscape Design/Build Firm that specializes in landscape design, construction and maintenance. We pride ourselves on the philosophy that our clients deserve only the highest quality of service.Molly and Joel graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Landscape Architecture. Joel is a licensed Landscape Architect and is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA). Prior to starting M.J. Design, they each had ten years of experience working for various Landscape Design/Build Firms and a Multi-Disciplinary Engineering Firm. When they started their business in 1998, they wanted to start a company that focused on the client and providing top notch customer service.Our best attribute is our ability to create a quality design that focuses on the client’s needs and choosing the proper plant for the proper location. M.J. Design provides detailed installation that focuses on quality, not production. We take the time to complete proper bed preparation and planting techniques. Upon completion of the installation, M.J. Design will follow-up and offer regular maintenance packages to maintain and insure that the plant material develops and completes the design intent.
