Mac-Bo Homes & Remodels of Portland, Oregon was formed by Ed Hesse in October 2004. Originally licensed as MacArthur Booth Constructors, our vendors and subcontractors quickly began calling us Mac-Bo and it stuck. So we are now licensed as Mac-Bo, LLC. Mac-Bo has evolved into an experienced, award-winning general contracting firm. We continue to grow with the industry and are on the forefront of innovation in home remodeling and renovation design and building practices, remodeling homes throughout the Portland-Vancouver metro area and beyond.

We specialize in mid-20th century home remodels. To be perfectly honest, we believe that houses built between 1945 and 1965 are the best candidates for significant renovations that fit today’s lifestyle. It’s not that we don’t work on houses built before or after those dates, but we have a particular affection for the ranch home.
