Madonna School

Description

At Madonna School, learning doesn’t confine itself to the classroom alone. Thanks to the generosity of the Home and School Association and many supporters in the community, a 60-foot by 48-foot greenhouse has been constructed on the south side of Madonna School. Students are showing off their green thumbs by potting and caring for geraniums, marigolds, petunias, moss roses, and other plants. Art students from Roncalli Catholic High School painted a colorful mural on the front of the new greenhouse. The greenhouse offers students a place where they can experience the wonder of nature first hand, while applying valuable lessons from the classroom! The greenhouse is an exciting addition to the school because of the many benefits gardening has for individuals with special needs:
