The result is a highly experienced team to assist you. Take a minute to get to know them. Matt has over twenty years of insurance and management experience. He spent six years as an underwriter with St. Paul Companies specializing in construction insurance. He joined the Maguire Agency in 1994 and currently serves a commercial client base focused on construction, non-profits and manufacturing, along with his leadership responsibilities as agency president. Professional designations include Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (1992), and Certified Insurance Counselor (1995). He’s been honored as a Business Journal 40 Under Forty award recipient, and was named 2007 Minnesota Agent of the Year by the Minnesota Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers (MIIAB). He has served on the Minnesota Chapter of the Society of CPCU Board of Directors since 2002, completing his term as president in 2009. He is currently serving on advisory counsels for SFM and Secura Insurance, in addition to providing expert testimony and being quoted frequently in the media regarding the insurance industry. He is a past board member of Agency Peak Performance EXchange (APPEX), and Kinderhaus Montesorri. Matt is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management, and has completed graduate coursework at the University of St.Thomas. He and his wife Diane reside in Roseville, Minnesota, with their five children and are active in church, school, youth athletics and try to keep the noise down for the neighbors.
