John Maketa, founder of MAK-3 Construction, LLC is a 28 year resident of the Matanuska Susitna Valley. MAK-3 Construction, LLC initially started building residential buildings consisting of single and multi-family homes. In response to our clients’ needs, we expanded our business to building additions and remodeling/renovating homes and commercial buildings. We have diversified our business base to include Commercial/Industrial construction and environmental cleanup/remediation. As a SDVOB and HUBZone certified company, MAK-3 is eligible for preferential award consideration with federal agencies, and is interested in construction projects as the prime and/or subcontracting opportunities. MAK-3 Construction is properly licensed, insured and bondable. We take on the small projects under $10,000.00 with the same enthusiasm as the larger more complex projects in excess of $500,000. We have the financial capability and resources to accomplish large projects. Under a subcontract with Shaw Infrastructure, MAK3 Construction completed a major, high interest, fast track project valued at over $300,000 involving renovation of Child Development Center area into four offices and Museum into 10 offices at Fort Richardson, AK. We completed the project in less then 6 weeks. MAK-3, performing as the prime, completed two federal projects. One was the renovation of the USCG Juneau Dental Clinic and the other was for Alteration of the NOAA Offices in Juneau Federal Bldg. We also successfully accomplished the USCG Juneau Dental Clinic Upgrade project as a subcontractor to KIC Construction, LLC. MAK-3 experiences steady growth and is ready to expand our market, utilizing our members and skilled employees to accomplish commercial vertical construction, demolition, renovations, alterations, additions and environmental cleanup, tank cleaning/closures and marine services. Our remodel and renovation work covers the entire spectrum of renovating kitchens, baths, and bedrooms, construction of shops, garages, decks and complete home additions. We accomplished custom woodwork, tile work and installation of hard surface counters. MAK-3 has experience working in remote Alaska sites, and logistical challenges associated with transportation of materials and workforce. Members of MAK-3 Construction LLC John L. Maketa: The principal member and manager of MAK-3 Construction LLC, retired from the Army after 27 years of services. He has expertise in managing a large work force and overseeing jobs at multiple locations. His focus is on identifying and mitigating potential risk through quality control, organization and scheduling work.
