Management Development Solutions was founded Dr. Mark Spool to help businesses and organizations reach new levels of professional achievement through demonstrating exemplary management practices. Dr. Mark Spool, President Dr. Spool is a pragmatic, results-oriented consultant with over 25 years of domestic and international experience in human resource development. Dr. Spool led the development and operation of a global strategic leadership program for top executives and senior management of an international company. He established the succession planning process and integrated the human resource development systems around a competency model for a major corporation. He has also designed and facilitated many supervisory/management training programs and conducted numerous employee opinion surveys focused on enhancing overall organization productivity. Dr. Spool has a stellar reputation and is often requested to coach executives and high potential employees. Dr. Spool's breadth of consulting experience includes working extensively across industries (e.g., retail, finance, manufacturing, technology, oil and chemical, and pharmaceutical) within large, medium and small businesses, as well as in family-owned companies, government agencies and not-for-profit organizations. Dr. Spool has held management positions in ARCO Chemical Company, Payless ShoeSource and Marathon Oil Company. Dr. Spool holds a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Michigan State University and an M.S. in Measurement and Human Differences from the University of Georgia. He is certified as a Baldridge criteria examiner, teaches at Penn State, has authored several published articles and serves on the board of directors of non-profit organizations.
