For a more in-depth history click here.Membership: Full privileges membership is presently authorized at 390 shareholder golfers, split roughly equally between family and single memberships. The membership consists of local residents (both native Vermonters and retirees), weekenders who own a second home in the area, and others who “winter” elsewhere but choose to “summer” in Vermont.Golfing Season: The official MCC golfing season is May 1 through October 31. Weather permitting, the grounds crew strives to open the course for play around the middle of April and keeps it open until there is a hard frost or persistent snow cover. This usually occurs in late November. The restaurant closeson September 30, but bar service remains available through the end of October.
