Mann & Associates was founded in the early 1970's by Albert Lidster and his brother Chuck. Originally called Lidster Associates, in 1983 the name of the firm was changed to Lidster-Mann Associates with the rise to partner status of Karen Mann. By 1989, it was felt that the time had come for the firm to move into the twenty-first century, obtaining "cutting edge" software, digital photography, color printers, and a 2.5 gigabyte hard drive. The firm enjoyed notoriety for the advanced and innovative technology in addition to quality appraisal service.
