Welcome and thank you for your interest in Manton Consolidated Schools. Our motto is “Whatever It Takes, Manton Students are Worth It”. The Board of Education, Administration, and Staff base our decisions with our motto in mind. We are very proud to be one of 22 school districts in Michigan that have earned full accreditation through North Central/AdvancEd. We continue to meet the standards of AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress) and earned high grades from the State of Michigan. (High School – B, Middle School – A, and the Elementary – A). We have a wonderfully supportive community that embraces our school. The Manton Alumni Association has built their trust fund to over $300,000. The Alumni Association awards five or six $2,000 scholarships on an annual basis to graduating seniors. There were many accomplishments last year. We are proud of our National Merit Scholar Finalist, Emily Williams. The boys track team earned the MITCA team state championship and our girls track team earned state runner-up on the same day. Our girls cross country team repeated as the state runner-up last fall. The high school band opened the MASA Superintendent Conference in Traverse City, received straight 1 rankings in District Festival, and performed at the State Band Festival. We had four teams qualify for the State Odyssey of the Mind competition to continue a long and strong tradition. Manton conducts an Outdoor Education Program that is primarily financed by a golf scramble that earns over $10,000 in one weekend in August. The skills and experiences that 5th, 6th and 7th grade students learn and participate in are an educational highlight that creates memories for life. Our students participated in events with the Senior Center, local churches and community service organizations. Our National Honor Society and Student Council coordinate school wide service projects such as collecting for food banks and participating in Project Christmas.
